This exhibition invites artists to explore the subject and experience of loss and what is left behind after someone close to us passes away. We are looking for photographic works that represent the person through the objects that have been left behind, be it their own possession or something sentimental to the artist. No portraits or images of the person will be accepted. Instead, use the objects and places as a narrative for the one being missed.
PLEASE NOTE THESE 2. "MATERIALIZATION" AND "EARLY FLIGHT" ARE SUBMISSIONS. SELECTION HASN'T BEEN FINALIZED.
An online exhibition in collaboration with WO Foundation exploring aspects of disruption and interference in our everyday life. From social and political unrest, technological innovation, to psychological trauma, we have experienced a disturbance in the way we experience life. Disruptions come when we less expect them and often have a way of awakening new ways of looking at the world. WO Foundation artists are invited to interpret the idea of disruption in their own context and submit to this exhibition artworks that explore this concept.
I am pleased to announce that my watercolour “Big Bay” was chosen to be part of the online exhibition MONUMENTAL.
The MONUMENTAL online exhibition is NOW OPEN!!
The exhibition explores our perception of size and scale when viewing a work of art by manipulating the environment in which it is presented for viewing. Does our appreciation and understanding of a work of art change based on how big or small we perceive it to be? Does scale affect how “important” we presume the art to be? These are some of the questions this exhibition aims to explore.
